Chris,

You are one of those iconic people that is someone I had heard about for year from several of my Red Door friends and it was always about your generosity. In fact, the first time I heard/saw it in action was when Jordan Pieniasek went Home and you generously paid for hotels for his family. And I don't think you really even knew the Pieniaseks at the time. This was so inspirational and I appreciated knowing it and even more, knowing that the family had no clue how that blessing came their way...you just made it happen. (At least that's how I remember it.)

Then through Michael and Jake, I heard about how you cared deeply for your employees and built into them with devotionals and the ease of conversation about Christ in the work environment.

Then FOCUS happened and I got the privilege of meeting you and some of your family on a whole new level! I saw a genuinely humble man who deeply desires an authentic walk with his Savior and who allows others to challenge him, encourage him, and walk comfortably alongside him in his life's journey. Yes, your generosity was just a familiar fabric of your being, as you graciously bought meals for us during Focus, but I saw a whole new side of a brother in Christ who is admirable, fun, kind, and I personally am thankful you are no longer just someone I keep 'hearing' about, but someone I can call a trusted brother and friend.

Because...and ONLY because He lives...we do.
