First off, happy birthday! It’s been a genuine privilege to get to be a part of Hartco these past few years and learning from you. You’ve always been there for me and my family and I’m so grateful for your generosity with both your time and money.
These past couple of years have been a struggle. Both for Hartco and myself personally. But through it all you’ve been steadfast. Pulling me in and being available to talk about the hard things going on. You’re investment in me has had (and is having) a huge impact on my heart.
You asked me a few months after I started if you me if had made a good choice when you hired me. If I’m being honest, that question really wrecked me. I stressed about it for a long time. But since then I’ve realized that the company you brought me into is a community. It’s not about just doing a good job, but about being involved and engaged with the people around me. About growing and wanting to learn and become the man created me to be. While I’m sure that wasn’t your intention behind the question, it’s something that I’ve learned while dealing with it.
It’s been an honor learning from you how to truly live as a son. Thank you for taking me in and teaching me how to be a man, a husband and a father. Happy birthday Chris.
