Chris -
First of all how do I say how thankful I am to have you in my life both as a brother and a mentor. As you know from our many conversations I haven't always had the fortune of strong male figures in my life that I can rely on for advice and spiritual mentorship. I often go back and thank God for his intervention that caused Mark Stetcher to connect me to you via the huddle group back in 2013 (I think that's when it was). I think what I have enjoyed the most about our friendship is how different we are in so many ways on the outside and yet the close kinship I feel to you as a brother in Christ and how I want to have the kind of heart towards my family and those around me that you do.
Pretty much any way of trying to write this can and will most likely fall short of accurately capturing the impact you have had on my life. I can say that through how God has used you I now know in my heart I am a Son of the most high King, and my heart matters to Him. If not for how you have chosen to live as a Son and for your obedience to the callings God has placed in your life, my heart would not be the same. I am so thankful for the generosity you have shown me with your time, your resources, and how no matter what else is going on you never make things feel like a burden.
Thanks for always being a phone call or text away and thank you for caring for my heart and always reminding me how much my Dad cares for it as well. I'm also so thankful for knowing my story is not unique and is only one of many examples of men who have come into your orbit and have been blessed with great friendship, strong advice and mentorship, and last but not least excellent coffee and huckleberry smoothies!
Love You Brother! Happy Birthday.
