Chris,

I first off just want to say happy birthday. For the years I have known you, you have been an amazing man, brother, mentor, and father to me. I look up to you in so many ways. How you live you life as a Son is something I want to do. It is simple yet very difficult and I've seen you do it so well. The way you invite Jesus into everything in your life, and they way you listen and follow is something I strive to do. The way you give so generously is something that Jesus did. I know if I call you for anything that you will be there for me.

I want to name specific ways where you helped me through my journey. When I first came to hartco you were the first man you ever challenged me. Not in a way where you called me out and tried to make me feel shameful. You called me up into living as a Son. I know that you say to not "call out" but "call up" and that is a code you live by, and you did that with me even when I first met you. Something else that I will always remember is when I lived with you. Being that close and seeing you be a husband and be a father, and then also take in a new married couple. That is something I would love to do and you modeled that so well. I also loved hanging out with Joe. Then the obvious one, is how you were there for me through my divorce. I truly believe that that summer out west with you and your family really did jump start my healing process. All the teachers and all the TNF trips before finally went from my head to my heart. Honestly because of your teachings and your leadership in my life I wouldn't be where I am today. Chris I love you so much and you have a huge place in my story and in my heart. I hope you can say the same about me. Happy Birhtday and I hope you have many many more to come. Love you Chris.

Your Brother in Chris,

Bill Hare
